The Vineyard Series matches specific varieties and sites to give you outstanding examples of single vineyard wines.

Textbook, medium bodied Cabernet. Blackcurrant, poached plum and cassis are followed by hints of cranberry, cherry pip and a light leafiness. The palate is soft, dense and concentrated with a web of filigreed tannin encasing the black fruits and cedar. Bright acidity helps to balance the wine between savoury and sweet, but with a lip smacking and refreshing finish. Classic cool-climate Cabernet.

This wine was sourced from the north-facing Hyde Park vineyard sited in the grey alluvial loams of Coldstream.

A traditional winemaking approach was used to produce this wine – fermentation on skins with twice daily pump-overs for four weeks followed by a 15-month maturation in 225 litre French oak barrels.

A cool, long vintage with abundant rainfall and very low cropping levels has resulted in wines outstanding varietal flavour.
