Tasting Notes
Cherry red appearance with a ruby hue. A bright lift of red cherries and spice greet from the outset. Rhubarb pie and associated baking spices, together with hints of blackberries and floral notes contribute to the immediate appeal of the bouquet. On the palate, squishy cherries and cream with some darker notes of char and dark chocolate cherry ripe are carried on a soft yet detailed acid line to great depth. Vineyard Notes
Fruit for this pinot noir was sourced from our Henk (Woori Yallock) and Willowlake (Gladysdale) vineyards.
Winemaker's Notes
A traditional winemaking approach was used to produce this wine - whole berry/bunch fermentation in open vessels for three weeks followed by a 9 month maturation in French oak barrels.
Vintage Notes
A cool wet spring and summer followed by a dry and temperate autumn has delivered balanced crops in near perfect harvesting conditions The resulting wines show elegant varietal flavours, freshness, and balanced acidities.
